Hablamos con una tendera de Burkina Faso, analizamos las nuevas viviendas sociales resilientes al clima de la República Dominicana y descubrimos cómo un banco cambia la situación de las mujeres que poseen sus propios negocios en Uganda. En 2019, el BEI invirtió casi 1 400 millones de euros en proyectos en estas regiones. En este informe, detallamos a dónde va dirigida nuestra financiación y examinamos de cerca el impacto de nuestras inversiones.

iebe Leserin, lieber Leser, "Eines wünsche ich mir ganz besonders, nicht zuletzt nach dieser ungewöhnlichen Zeit durch die Pandemie: Ich hoffe, dass viele Menschen merken, wie systemrelevant Musik in ihrem Leben und in unserer Kultur ist." Nicht nur diesem Satz unseres Interviewpartners Markus Korselt, Intendant des Stuttgarter Kammerorchester, das im September sein 75-jähriges Jubiläum feiert, stimmen wir von Herzen zu. Ja! Und nochmals ja: Musik und Kunst insgesamt – ob am Instrument oder tanzend, singend, schauspielend oder auch therapeutisch – bereichert unser Leben in vielfältiger Weise und ist weit mehr als ein schönes Luxusgut, auf das wir dauerhaft verzichten können. Bereichert werden vom Können anderer, in andere Welten abtauchen und reicher aus ihnen wieder auftauchen ist überaus relevant fürs «menschliche System». Dass dieses Glück manchmal selbst auf kleinstem Raum zu finden ist, auch darüber berichten wir in unserer September-Ausgabe in der Reportage – und lenken im Essay von Christiane Kutik zudem den Blick darauf, was mit den Kindern in dieser uns alle heraus- und hier und da auch überfordernden Zeit geschieht.

Historische Translationskulturen
Die in diesem Band gesammelten Beiträge sind das Ergebnis eines Forschung und Lehre verschränkenden Projekts, in dessen Rahmen sich Lehrende am Grazer Institut für Translationswissenschaft mit den Ausformungen, Bedingungen und historischen Entwicklungen von «Translationskulturen» in ihren Arbeitssprachen befassten. Ausgangspunkt bildet das von Erich Prunc entwickelte Konzept von Translationskultur, das auf die unterschiedlichen Kulturräume übertragen und dadurch eventuell erweitert werden soll. Alle Beiträge wurden zudem von Studierenden übersetzt und stehen den LeserInnen somit in zwei Sprachen zur Verfügung – in der Sprache des jeweiligen Kulturraums und auf Deutsch.
Zum poetischen Werk von Salvatore A. Sanna
Dieser Band versammelt Aufsätze und Rezensionen zur Lyrik von Salvatore A. Sanna (1934-2018). Sannas erster Gedichtband erschien 1978 mit dem Titel Fünfzehn Jahre Augenblicke, es folgte 1984 Wacholderblüten, 1988 Löwen-Maul, 1991 Feste, 1999 Mnemosyne, 2009 Mare. I guess what you mean. Das Gesamtwerk erschien 2004 im Gunter Narr Verlag unter dem Titel Fra le due sponde/Zwischen zwei Ufern. Gedichte Italienisch Deutsch. Hrsg. von Thomas Amos, und auf Italienisch im Verlag Il Maestrale, Nuoro (2014). Sanna hat selbst den Begriff der «Letteratura de-centrata» geprägt, er verfasste seine Gedichte auf Italienisch, veröffentlichte seine Texte aber immer zweisprachig italienisch/deutsch, um auch das des Italienischen nicht mächtige Lesepublikum zu erreichen. Die hier vorgelegte Sammlung mit Texten in italienischer und deutscher Sprache erlaubt erstmals eine Zusammenschau der kritischen Texte über Sannas Lyrik.
Canon sin fronteras
Esta antología reúne las participaciones de algunos ponentes del Coloquio Internacional de Estudios Críticos sobre Géneros Populares, que tuvo lugar en agosto del 2016 en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la UNAM . Este coloquio fue producto del proyecto PAPIME (Programa de Apoyo a Proyectos para la Innovación y Mejoramiento de la Enseñanza) del mismo nombre que, por más de tres años, se construyó con la colaboración de profesores, investigadores y estudiantes, tanto mexicanos como extranjeros. En suma, un sinfín de personas originarias de diversas comunidades universitarias, de México y el mundo, dieron una voz multiforme a esta iniciativa, ideada para ampliar las perspectivas y estudios de los géneros populares en Hispanoamérica. Quienes integramos este proyecto provenimos de contextos variados y cumplimos distintas funciones dentro de nuestras universidades, pero tenemos algo en común: al igual que miles de personas alrededor del mundo, somos unos entusiastas de la cultura popular y sus manifestaciones en la literatura, el cine, los cómics y la televisión. Muchas de nosotras pasamos nuestra niñez leyendo sagas de fantasía —con sus historias de posibilidades infinitas— o explorando universos tornadizos a través del cine de ciencia ficción. Algunos disfrutamos una y otra vez con la nostalgia y ferocidad del viejo oeste, así como con lecturas nocturnas en compañía de detectives y enigmas capaces de robarnos varias noches de sueño. Otros siempre elegiremos encarar monstruosas manifestaciones o deleitarnos con la gama de emociones que contiene una historia de amor. En otras palabras, nuestro quehacer dentro de este proyecto y, más concretamente, la planeación y producción de esta antología parten, en primer lugar, de un deseo simple: compartir con otros lectores el entusiasmo que sentimos cada vez que nos encontramos con materiales como los descritos anteriormente. En segundo lugar, a este sentido de pertenencia y gozo —muy común en quienes consumimos estos productos culturales— se le han aunado el impulso reflexivo y la predisposición analítica propias del estudio académico.

Tourism and Earthquakes

Complexity Perspectives on Researching Language Learner and Teacher Psychology
This edited volume brings together both established and emerging researcher voices from around the world to illustrate how complexity perspectives might contribute to new ways of researching and understanding the psychology of language learners and teachers in situated educational contexts.
