great fear, where no fear was: For Elohim has scattered the bones of him that encamps against you: You have put them to shame, because Elohim has despised them.

      Ps 53,6 Ach daß Hilfe aus Zion über Israel käme und Gott [Elohim] sein gefangen Volk erlöste! So würde sich Jakob freuen und Israel fröhlich sein.

      KJV + EL = Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When Elohim brings back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

      Psalm 54

      Ps 54,1 Eine Unterweisung Davids, vorzusingen, auf Saitenspiel; da die von Siph kamen und sprachen zu Saul: David hat sich bei uns verborgen. Hilf mir, O Gott [Elohim], durch deinen Namen und schaffe mir Recht durch deine Gewalt.

      Ps 54,3 Denn Stolze setzen sich wider mich, und Trotzige stehen mir nach meiner Seele und haben Gott [Elohim] nicht vor Augen. (Sela.)

      KJV + EL = For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: They have not set Elohim before them. Selah.

      Ps 54,4 Siehe, Gott [Elohim] steht mir bei, JAHWEH erhält meine Seele.

      KJV + EL = Behold, Elohim is my helper: YAHWEH is with them that uphold my soul.

      Ps 54,5 Er wird die Bosheit meinen Feinden bezahlen. Verstöre sie durch deine Treue!

      ELBERFELDER 1871 = Er wird das Böse zurückerstatten meinen Feinden; nach deiner Wahrheit vertilge sie!

      KJV + EL = He shall reward evil to my enemies: Cut them off in your truth.

      Ps 54,6 So will ich dir ein Freudenopfer tun und deinen Namen, O JAHWEH, danken, daß er so tröstlich ist.

      KJV + EL = I will freely sacrifice to you: I will praise/ give thanks to your name, O YAHWEH; for it is good.

      Ps 54,7 Denn du errettest mich aus aller meiner Not, daß mein Auge an meinen Feinden Lust sieht.

      Ps 55,2 Merke auf mich und erhöre mich, wie ich so kläglich zage und heule,

      KJV + EL = Attend to me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;

      Ps 55,3 ELBERFELDER 1871 = Vor der Stimme des Feindes, vor der Bedrückung des Gesetzlosen; denn sie wälzen Unheil auf mich, und im Zorn feinden sie mich an.

      KJV + EL = Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked/ the lawless: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.

      Ps 55,4 Mein Herz ängstet sich in meinem Leibe, und des Todes Furcht ist auf mich gefallen.

      KJV + EL = My heart is severely pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.

      Ps 55,5 Furcht und Zittern ist mich angekommen, und Grauen hat mich überfallen.

      Ps 55,6 Ich sprach: Oh hätte ich Flügel wie Tauben, da ich flöge und wo bliebe!

      Ps 55,7 Siehe, so wollt ich ferne wegfliehen und in der Wüste bleiben. (Sela.)

      Ps 55,8 Ich wollte eilen, daß ich entrönne vor dem Sturmwind und Wetter.

      KJV + EL = I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

      Ps 55,9 Mache ihre Zunge uneins, O JAHWEH, und laß sie untergehen; denn ich sehe Frevel und Hader in der Stadt.

      Ps 55,10 Solches geht Tag und Nacht um und um auf ihren Mauern, und Mühe und Arbeit ist drinnen.

      Ps 55,11 Schadentun regieret drinnen; Lügen und Trügen läßt nicht von ihrer Gasse.

      Ps 55,15 Der Tod übereile sie, daß sie lebendig in den Scheol (= ELBERFELDER) fahren; denn es ist eitel Bosheit unter ihrem Haufen.

      KJV + EL = Let death seize upon them, and let them go down alive into Sheol: For wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.

      Ps 55,16 Ich aber will zu Gott [Elohim] rufen, und JAHWEH wird mir helfen.

      KJV + EL = As for me, I will call upon Elohim; and YAHWEH shall save me.

      Ps 55,17 Des Abends, Morgens und Mittags will ich klagen und heulen, so wird er meine Stimme hören.

      KJV + EL = Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

      Ps 55,18 Er erlöst meine Seele von denen, die an mich wollen, und schafft ihr Ruhe; denn ihrer viele sind wider mich.

      KJV + EL = He has delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: For they were many that contended with me.

      Ps 55,19 Gott [El] wird hören und sie demütigen, der allewege bleibt. (Sela.) Denn sie werden nicht anders und fürchten Gott [Elohim] nicht.

      KJV + EL = El shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abides of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not Elohim.

      Ps 102,27

      Ps 55,20 Sie (die Gesetzlosen) legen ihre Hände an seine Friedsamen (welche mit ihm in Frieden waren) und entheiligen/ entweihen seinen Bund.
