La CNV se basa en las habilidades relativas al lenguaje y la comunicación que refuerzan nuestra capacidad de seguir siendo humanos incluso en las condiciones más extremas. No se trata de nada nuevo: hace siglos que se conocen todos los elementos de la CNV. El objetivo es que recordemos algo que ya sabemos –de qué modo hemos de relacionarnos los seres humanos– y que vivamos de una manera que manifieste abiertamente este conocimiento. La CNV nos orienta para reestructurar nuestra forma de expresarnos y de escuchar a los demás. Verborgene Spuren in Schloss Ludwigsburg
Daniel Schulz beleuchtet auf ungewöhnliche und anschauliche Weise die Geschichte eines der bedeutendsten Barockschlösser Deutschlands. Anhand von historischen Graffiti wird die Bauzeit der 1704-1733 errichteten Anlage lebendig, wobei der Fokus auf der Lebenswelt der Handwerker liegt. Aber auch die klassische Kunstgeschichte wird in einem umfangreichen Teil gewürdigt. Der Autor beleuchtet ausführlich die Ikonografie, die Ausstattung des Schlosses mit Skulpturen und Fresken für Herzog Eberhard Ludwig von Württemberg. Um die Geschichte der Residenz unter König Friedrich I. im frühen 19. Jh. darzustellen, wendet sich Daniel Schulz wieder einer ungewöhnlichen Quellengattung zu: Fundobjekte wie Briefe, Dokumente oder Kleidungsstücke, die unter den Fussböden gefunden wurden. Der Autor schreibt die Schlossgeschichte bis ins 20. Jh. fort und zieht zur Illustration immer wieder Graffiti und Fundstücke heran. So entsteht ein lebendiges Bild der bedeutenden württembergischen Residenz.

Der Index der verbotenen Bücher. Bd.2/1
Vor der Öffnung der Archive der Glaubenskongregation im Jahr 1998 war das 1883-1885 entstandene Werk von Franz Heinrich Reusch die wichtigste Publikation über die schwarze Liste des Vatikan mit detaillierten Informationen zu jedem Werk, das auf dem Index stand. Reusch weist darin zahlreiche Fehler im Index auf: Werke, die falschen Autoren zugeordnet wurden, Bücher, die unter unterschiedlichen Titeln mehrmals aufgenommen wurden, solche, von denen kein einziges Exemplar mehr existierte … Wenig überraschend wurde »der Reusch« in Rom angezeigt und sollte selbst auf den Index der verbotenen Bücher gesetzt werden. Allerdings mussten die römischen Zensoren nach eingehender Untersuchung eingestehen, dass der alt-katholische Autor Recht hatte. Deshalb sah man nicht nur von einer Indizierung ab, sondern das Werk wurde sogar zur Grundlage einer großen Indexreform am Ende des 19. Jh. Die hochinteressante Wirkungsgeschichte wird in der Einleitung von Hubert Wolf ausführlich beleuchtet. Dies ist Bd. 2/1.
Kunstphilosophie und Ästhetik
Mit Bernhard Brauns Opus Magnum liegt erstmals eine Darstellung der gesamten Geschichte der europäischen Kunstphilosophie und Ästhetik vor. Sie setzt ein mit den ersten bekannten Kunstwerken der Altsteinzeit und den begleitenden Weltbildern und reicht bis zu den kunstphilosophischen Denkschulen der Gegenwart. Die Verbindung von Kultur-, Ideen- und Kunstgeschichte macht dieses Werk zu einer faszinierenden Erzählung über die kulturelle Identität Europas. Dies ist Band II der Gesamtausgabe (4 Bände).
