Naturgesetze scheinen festzulegen, was Menschen tun dürfen. Nicht erlaubt scheint beispielsweise, in der Luft zu schweben, auf dem Wasser zu stehen oder durch Wände zu laufen. Richtig? Nein, falsch. Verstöße gegen Naturgesetze sind unwahrscheinlich, aber nicht unmöglich. Ein kurzes Vorwort erklärt dies mit einem einfachen Argument von Albert Einstein.

Late Capitalist Fascism
What if fascism didn’t disappear at the end of WW II with the defeat of Hitler and Mussolini? Even more troubling, what if fascism can no longer be confined to political parties or ultra nationalist politicians but has become something much more diffuse that is spread across our societies as cultural expressions and psychological states? This is the disturbing thesis developed by Mikkel Bolt Rasmussen, who argues that late capitalism has produced hollowed-out and exchangeable subjectivities that provide a breeding ground for a new kind of diffuse, banal fascism. The overt and concentrated fascism of the new fascist parties thrives on the diffuse fascism present in social media and everyday life, where the fear of being left behind and losing out has fuelled resentment towards foreigners and others who are perceived as threats to a national community under siege. Only by confronting both the overt fascism of parties and politicians and the diffuse fascism of everyday life will we be able to combat fascism effectively and prevent the slide into barbarism.
Pacífico: Un hombre a la deriva
Un grupo de buzos viaja al Océano Pacífico con la ilusión de tener una de las experiencias más fascinantes que se conocen bajo el agua: bucear alrededor de Malpelo, una gigantesca roca ubicada a 500 kilómetros de la costa colombiana. Es uno de los mejores lugares del mundo para la práctica del buceo por la cantidad y diversidad de animales que se pueden ver y además, las formaciones rocosas submarinas como La Catedral, una cueva ubicada a más de 50 pies de profundidad. Muchos ni se conocen, simplemente coinciden en una excursión a bordo de un viejo barco pesquero adaptado para este tipo de actividades.Después de una semana en altamar, haciendo la última excursión, algo inesperado sucede. Luego de varias señales de alerta que les envía el destino, todas desatendidas, cinco buzos quedan a la deriva. El tripulante del pequeño bote que los lleva hacia el sitio de la inmersión pierde contacto visual con ellos justo cuando están saliendo de La Catedral. Las fuertes corrientes dispersan a los cinco viajeros entre quienes se encuentran un experimentado instructor, una mujer joven y un extranjero. Hernán Rodríguez, un odontólogo bogotano que está residenciado en Medellín y llegó solo a la excursión, queda a merced del indomable oleaje de las cuatro de la tarde en medio de la inmensidad del océano Pacífico. Bajo sus pies nadan decenas de tiburones. Mira al cielo y advierte que la oscuridad de la noche está cerca. La bravura del mar lo mueve a un lado y al otro sin contemplaciones. En un momento se encuentra con otros dos de los buzos con los que ahora comparte el drama del momento. Ellos deciden quedarse quietos para permitir que las corrientes los lleven con la esperanza de que los organismos de rescate puedan calcular su ubicación. Hernán no comparte la idea. La roca de Malpelo se ve lejos pero cree que es posible llegar nadando y toma la decisión más importante de su vida. Se despide de estos dos compañeros de excursión. A los otros dos no los ha visto desde el momento en el que el mar los dispersó. Sin evaluar racionalmente las reales posibilidades de sobrevivir, en un acto impulsivo y casi irracional, comienza a nadar solo, contra la corriente, con una motivación simple: salvar su vida invadido por la desesperanza.

Marx in Movement
This first volume in a new trilogy of books by Antonio Negri examines and develops the Italian tradition of radical Marxist thought known as operaismo or ‘autonomist Marxism’ – the tradition to which Negri himself adheres and in which he is a leading figure. The tradition of operaismo emphasizes the role of the worker in capitalism and the primacy of class struggle. Within this framework, Negri’s key contribution has been to theorize the transition from the ‘mass worker’ to the ‘social worker’ – that is, to broaden the concept of living labour and liberate it from the theoretical cages that locked it into the factory. It was only by moving beyond the ideology and political practice of the mass worker that the revolutionary character of the Marxist concept of class could be updated for our times and developed in relation to the exploitation and socialization of living labour, including networks of cognitive work, reproductive work and care work, networks which also have the potential to become the bases for new forms of resistance to capitalist exploitation. Innerhalb von ca. sechs Jahren haben Heidi und Rolland über 6000 Gemeinden im ganzen Land (Mosambik) gegründet. Grund dafür war und ist das starke Wirken des Heiligen Geistes unter der Bevölkerung. Zeichen und Wunder sind dort sozusagen an der Tagesordnung. Jährlich bilden sie ca. 1000 Pastoren aus. Viele von ihnen besitzen nur ein T-Shirt und eine Hose und haben sonst nichts als Jesus allein! Doch genau das reicht aus, um die Kranken zu heilen, Dämonisierte zu befreien, Tote aufzuerwecken und die Armen zu speisen.
