the same clothes like Supercat. She wants to wear clothes like Supercat does. Jane wants to dress like Supercat.

And every day Jane wears Superсat outfit.

Alright, our next word is – outfit. Outfit means a special set of clothes. Supercat outfit is a special set of clothes that Supercat wears. A special set of clothes that she puts on and she wears. Like Superman outfit or Batman outfit or Spiderman outfit. You get the idea, right? Jane wears Supercat outfit every day.

One day Jane is walking along the street. And she sees raccoons robbing a jewelry shop.

Here we have the verb to rob. To rob means to take money or something illegally. Jane sees raccoons taking money and jewelries from the shop illegally.

Our next word is a jewelry shop. Of course, you know what it means, but one more time let me explain it to you. A jewelry shop is a shop where you can buy jewelries. It’s easy. You can go buy things like: rings, bracelets and necklaces. And you can put them on and wear them.

From the story we know what Jane does next, right?

She runs to the jewelry shop. She catches the raccoons. And suddenly Supercat appears. I mean real Supercat appears. She helps Jane bring the raccoons to the police station.

Here I want you to focus on the word to bring. To bring here means to carry or take something or someone to somewhere. In our case, Supercat helps Jane carry the raccoons to the police station. Supercat helps Jane take the raccoons to the police station. Supercat helps Jane bring the raccoons to the police station.

Now Supercat and Jane are working together.

Jane understands that she can do good things without having superpower.

Our last word for today is to do good things. Actually, this is our last expression for this vocabulary lesson do good things. Do good things means to help or to be of use. Jane can help people without having superpower. She can be of use. She can help people to feel safe and peaceful in the town. Jane understands that she can do good things without having superpower. In other words, you don’t need to have superpower to help other people to have happy and peaceful lives.

This is the end of the vocabulary lesson for our first story “Supercat”.

Listen to the vocabulary lesson one or two times a day. It will help you to understand the story better. It will help you to use the words correctly. And it will certainly help you to speak better.

What do you do next? Next you have your bonus lesson, where I tell the same story but in the past tense. Go get it.

      Your Bonus Lesson

Hello my superstar English student! This is Alex and this is your bonus lesson. In this lesson I am going to tell you the exact same story but in the past tense. We are going back. Imagine! See in your head it was five years ago. Just listen and enjoy the story!

Five years ago there was a cat. Her name was Jane. Jane had blue eyes and she was grey. She wanted to be like Superсat, because Superсat was her heroine.

      What did Supercat look like?

Superсat had super-green eyes and she was purple.

Jane wanted to be just like Superсat.

Jane wanted to jump and run like Superсat.

She wanted to walk and talk like Superсat.

And of course, she wanted to dress like Superсat.

Every day she wore Superсat outfit.

One day Jane was walking along the street. And she saw raccoons robbing a jewelry shop. She ran to the jewelry shop. And she caught the raccoons. Suddenly Supercat appeared. She helped Jane bring the raccoons to the police station. Then Supercat and Jane were working together.

Jane understood that she could do good things without having superpower.

This is the end of the story. Listen to the story as many times as you can. And remember that it was five years ago. It was in the past. The next lesson is the mini-story lesson. See you there.
