“Sure,” said Sherry.
She stepped out and nudged him in. Sherry closed the curtains behind her. Lola moved Mauricio to the very back where his feet wouldn’t show under the curtains.
“I don’t usually do this, but I can’t help myself,” he said.
He gently pulled her close to him and stuck in his tongue down her throat. He held her face as he passionately kissed her.
Then, he raised her skirt and picked her up. She wrapped her legs around him easily. But once things got too hot, she got down and straightened up her clothes. She couldn’t believe what just happened.
She looked down at the front of his pants. There was a massive bulge protruding outwards. She grabbed it to make sure it was real.
“Nice,” she said in a low voice, smiling.
“You haven’t seen anythin’ yet,” he said smiling back.
She peeked out of the curtain to make sure the coast was clear. Then, she pushed him into the restroom so that he could fix himself. Once he came out, she motioned for him to sit in the last row. It was completely empty. And Sherry told her to go ahead and talk. The trash had been collected and there wasn’t much more to do.
“I apologize if I was too forward, but I had to,” he said.
“Well, I don’t usually do that, but you were a pleasant surprise,” she admitted.
For the next hour and a half, they continued flirting, laughing and conversing.
“Flight attendants . . . Prepare for arrival” was announced over the intercom. That was Lola’s cue.
Before she walked away, he asked, “Can I see you again?”
“I’ll be at Motions on South Beach with my friends tonight.”
“Then, I’ll see you there,” he said kissing her hand before walking back to his seat.
Once they pulled up to the gate, everyone stood up to grab their stuff. The aircraft doors opened and passengers began exiting the plane.
Mauricio got off last. He grabbed his stuff, turned back and winked at Lola. She winked back as he exited.
Chapter 2
Lola’s House
Lola was excited about Mauricio. She thought about him as she drove down the streets of Coconut Grove heading home.
When she pulled into her driveway, she saw her madrina’s car.
“Madrina . . . Madrina . . . I’m home!” she yelled walking through the door.
“Míja, I’m in the kitchen,” responded Ana with a twinge of a Spanish accent.
Lola ran and gave her a big hug and kiss.
Ana was Lola’s godmother. She was this beautiful, exotic looking, Cuban woman with fair skin, long black hair and tight brown eyes that exuded sexiness. She stood 5’10” tall with a small physique and flawless looking skin.
Ana stood over the sink rinsing a pot of uncooked rice.
“How was your flight, Míja?” asked Ana.
“It was good. I met a guy. And he’s from New York,” Lola said sitting on one of the bar stools smiling like a Cheshire cat.
“Another one?” Ana asked giving her the eye.
“Yeah, but he approached me this time, Madrina.”
“I know you Lola Esperanza Ana Dominguez. You’re always up to no good to catch a man’s attention.”
“This is true, Madrina. But . . . he beat me to it this time,” said Lola chuckling.
“Aye . . . Míja. What am I gonna do with you?”
Lola told Ana the story of what happened while flying the friendly skies.
“Wow. He’s just as bold as you are,” said Ana putting the rice on the stove to cook, then seasoning the steak.
“And he’s gorgeous, Madrina. He has these hazel eyes. . . . mmmmm. He’s supposed to go to the club tonight.”
“Please be careful. You can be a bit loca.”
Then, a male voice said, “Stop worrying so much, Woman. She’ll be fine.”
“Padrino!!!” yelled Lola jumping up to hug him.
“How are you, Sweetheart?” asked David.
“I’m fine. And you?”
“I’m good.”
David was Lola’s godfather and Ana’s husband. He stood 6’4” tall with a killer smile. This Bahamian and white man had a smooth, bronzy skin color. He wore his wavy, brown hair in a low cut and had a little gray in his beard. And he was a hunk with the most seductive eyes.
Lola told him about Mauricio. David was also surprised to hear that there was someone just as upfront as her.
“So are you seeing him again?” asked David.
“Yeah. He’s supposed to go to the club tonight. So you know what that means . . . SHOPPING!!!” she exclaimed while prancing around.
“Well, sit and eat with us first,” said Ana. “I’m cooking one of your favorites.”
Ana was making arroz blanco con bistec empanizado (white rice and breaded steak, but Cuban style). And she always made it with black beans, salad and sweet plantains.
“Ok. I’m just gonna take a quick shower and get changed,” Lola told Ana.
“Ok.”
She grabbed her stuff and headed upstairs to her bedroom.
Lola took the bun out of her hair, kicked her shoes off and came out of her uniform. She laid across her bed thinking about Mauricio. Her fingers caressed her lips reminiscing about the kiss they shared. She was anxious to see him again.
For Lola, this was an occasion she had to look yummy for. And she knew just where to go to get her outfit. So, she called for reinforcement.
“Hey, Baby. Did you miss me?” asked Lola trying to sound sexy.
“Yes, Ho. I missed yo’ stank ass,” said a male voice over the phone.
“What are you doin’? Or who are you doin’?” she asked about to burst out laughing.
“I’m not doin’ anything, but you know I stay ready to do somebody,” said the same male voice.
“You’re crazy,” she said laughing.
The male voice on the phone was one of her best friends, Blair.
“Hey, I have to go to Milly’s. You down to go with me?” asked Lola.
“Hell yeah! Who is he this time?” asked Blair.
“I’ll tell you all about him when I see you. One hour?”
“I’ll be there. Don’t be late, Biatch.”
“Ok, Ho.”
Lola hung up and called her other best friend, Crystale.
“Hey girl,” said Lola when she answered.
“Hey. You’re back?”
“Yeah, but I gotta go to Milly’s. You comin’?”
“Yeah. Who is he?”
“Dang! You and Blair. I’ll tell you all about him when I see you. One hour?”
“Ok, but don’t be late, Lola. You’re ass is always late.”
“Ok
