Decky Does A Bronco
Decky Does a Bronco is the tragi-comic story of a gang of nine-year-old boys who spend the summer of 1983 'Broncoing swings' in Girvan, on the west coast of Scotland. Broncoing (kicking the swing over the bar) is the social bench mark and a dangerous mixture of vandalism and sport.Decky is the smallest of the group and the only one who cannot Bronco. His friend David remembers the event of that summer, which at first seem hilarious but ultimately remain painful, as the boys are faced with an unthinkable tragedy and are thrown into a restless adulthood.

The Golden Ass (or the Curious Man)

The most exquisite tale in this wonderful epic, as originally told by Lucius Apuleius, is the first known account of the marriage of Cupid and Psyche, which is perhaps the archetypal myth behind modern psychology.Inspired by The Golden Ass, Peter Oswald has written a riotous erotic comedy of love and desire, which premiered at the Globe Theatre, London in August 2002. This version is true to the original: in the words of C S Lewis is 'a strange compound of picaresque novel, horror comic, mystagogue's tract, pornography and stylistic experiment.'
Mancub
Mancub is the beautiful and absurd story of a boy who seems to be turning into animals. Paul faces the usual struggles of growing up. Struggles for understanding with his father, struggles to work out what girls are about. But he also faces a more pressing problem. Reality seems to be shifting as the people around him begin to display the traits of certain animals.Stranger still are the changes he, and other people, see in himself. Does Paul really turn into animals, or does he only think he does? Mancub is a collaboration between Vanishing Point and acclaimed Scottish writer Douglas Maxwell, whose hits include Decky Does a Bronco and Helmet, both also published by Oberon.

According to an eyewitness, Amina was bustled into ared Dacia Logan with a bumper sticker of Basel Assad. The men are assumed to be members of the Ba’ath Partymilitia or one of the security services. Amina’s present location is still unknown. Following the story of Amina Arraf, the blogger known as ‘A Gay Girl In Damascus’, and the events fomented by the media’s coverage of her kidnapping, Sour Lips fuses fantasy and non-fiction to create its own speculative narrative.This play is a fictional account, inspired by both a hoax and its true story. It contains extracts from Tom MacMaster’s weblog, A Gay Girl in Damascus. However, the characters, timelines and incidents have been changed for dramatic purposes. In some cases, fictitious characters and incidents have been further added to the narrative, and the words are those imagined by the author. The play should not be understood as either a biography or factual account.
