Societal Responsibility of Artificial Intelligence
The digital world is characterized by its immediacy, its density of information and its omnipresence, in contrast to the concrete world. Significant changes will occur in our society as AI becomes integrated into many aspects of our lives. This book focuses on this vision of universalization by dealing with the development and framework of AI applicable to all. Fahrend? Um die Ötztaler Alpen
Die Geschichte der Jenischen ist eine scheinbar spurlose, geprägt von wirtschaftlicher Not, Krieg und Vertreibung. Es ist eine Geschichte der Anderen, der Fremden, im besten Fall gespickt mit romantischen Erinnerungen an Pfannenflicker und Scherenschleifer, an Händlerinnen und Bettlerinnen. Jedenfalls ist die Geschichte der Jenischen in Vergessenheit geraten. Grund genug, sie im Rahmen des von der Europaregion Tirol-Trentino 2021 ausgerufenen Museumsjahres zum Thema «Transport –Transit – Mobilität» in den Fokus zu nehmen. Im vorliegenden Sammelband werden in zehn Beiträgen wichtige Aspekte rund um jenische Geschichte und Gegenwart in Tirol herausgearbeitet. Die unterschiedlichen Herangehensweisen und Fragestellungen sowie verschiedene sprachliche Zugänge machen die Komplexität des Themas deutlich, in dessen Kern jedoch steht: Jenische waren und sind ein wichtiger Teil der Tiroler Geschichte und Identität.

In diesem Band liegt der Schwerpunkt auf den Momenten, in denen „wir“ uns pathologisieren und selbst regieren und welche Rolle dabei Begriffe wie psychische Gesundheit und Krankheit, Normalität und Eigenverantwortung spielen. Die ‚zweite Gegendiagnose‘ zeichnet sich durch eine große Vielfalt an expliziter und reflektierter Diversität der Perspektiven aus, ebenso durch eine Varianz der Beitragsformen. Von wissenschaftlicher abstrakter Theoriearbeit und Analyse über autoethnografische Zugänge bis hin zu sehr persönlichen Erfahrungsberichten und Prosa, von der Betroffenen- über die Angehörigen-Perspektive bis hin zu der Perspektive der ‚Professionellen‘ sind vertreten. Dieses Nebeneinander der Perspektiven ist als Kritik an der vorherrschenden Definitionsgewalt der Psy-Disziplinen und ihrer Institutionen zu verstehen. Die Beiträge analysieren Mechanismen und Auswirkungen des neoliberalen psychologischen_psychiatrischen Gesundheitssystems und fragen nach Widerstandsmöglichkeiten auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen.
Gegendiagnose
Mit den Neuauflagen der Krankheitskataloge ICD und DSM werden die Grenzen dessen ausgedehnt, was als psychisch krank gilt. Formulierten in den 1960/70er Jahren noch außerparlamentarische Linke und ihr verbundene Psychiater_innen eine radikale Kritik an der Institution Psychiatrie, wurde im Anschluss daran die Kritik hauptsächlich von Betroffenen getragen und in die Praxis übersetzt. Heute findet Psychiatriekritik selbst im bürgerlichen Mainstream statt. Diese reibt sich allerdings lediglich an den aktuell in den Katalog aufgenommenen Diagnosen und den Interessen der Pharma-Industrie. Eine radikale Gesellschafts- und Machtkritik, wie sie die Alte und Neue Antipsychiatrie enthält, lässt sie jedoch vermissen.
