– Good morning. Can we rent a car?
– Sure. No problem. We’re glad to help you. Which brand would you want and where are you heading?
– To San Francisco. There are four of us: my wife, two kids and me. We would like something really comfortable.
– San Francisco… From New York it’s about 3000 miles. I would recommend you Chevy Cruise. The model is designed specially for long-distance trips. AC, smooth running, cruise control, sunroof, low level of noise, very good specifications. The back seat converts into two berths. A very capacious trunk. This car is very reliable.
– Chevy Cruise… Can I have a look at it?
– Oh yes, this is it. Please, get in behind the wheel.
– Well, it’s very comfortable. Plenty of room. May I start the engine?
– Of course.
– Practically I don’t hear the engine working. Fantastic! What is the power of the engine?
– This car has 115 horse power internal combustion engine. That car over there in the corner has 120 horse-power diesel.
– I don’t like diesel, runs like a tractor. What is the fuel rate of this car?
– 1.8 gallon on highway and 2.5 in town.
– Now the main thing. What is the price for all this?
– Forty dollars a day, mileage included.
– Does that mean, that even if my mileage is over 1000 miles it will still all cost forty bucks a day?
– Quite right, sir.
– Then, let’s accomplish.
– Are we formalizing this car?
– Yes, this one. Is the insurance included or it goes separately?
– Included. Will you please sign the document?
– So quickly? Great! And… One more question. We are planning to come back by plane. Where can we surrender the car back in San Francisco?
– 362 Douglass Drive. The list of our branch offices is on page 3 of the agreement.
– Thanks.
– Have a good trip!
– Hello. We’d like to rent a car.
– Hello. Sure, that’s no problem. Let’s see if we might have something that you’d be interested in. What did you guys have in mind?
– My family and I are planning on taking a road trip to San Francisco. There'll be four of us in all and we’d like to have something really spacious.
– It’s roughly something like 3,000 miles or so from San Francisco to New York. A Chevy Cruise might be what you’re looking for since it’s specifically designed for long-distance trips and has all of the amenities that drivers ask for like AC, cruise control, sunroof, power windows, reclinable seats, is great on gas, and is pretty much loaded right from the factory. The back seat folds down into two separate sleeping compartments. The trunk is spacious and it’s a very reliable car, overall.
– Chevy Cruise… Would you mind if I have a look?
– Sure thing. Here it is right over here.
– Wow! It is very comfortable. Plenty of room. Can I start it up?
– Of course.
– You can hardly even hear the engine running! What’s thing got in it?
– It’s a V-6 and has got 115 horse. The one over there in the corner has 120 horse but is a diesel though.
– I don’t care for diesels all that much. They seem to all run like tractors, if you ask me. How’s this thing do on gas?
– 1.8 gallon on the highway and 2.5 in the city.
– What’s it per day?
– Forty dollars a day, mileage included.
– Does that mean that even if the mileage is over 1000 miles it will still only be forty bucks a day?
– Exactly, sir.
– Where do we sign?
– So,
