Aquest llibre es proposa mostrar la importància de la literatura per a cohesionar una societat sense defugir les qüestions més difícils. Les obres són comentades en el context de la literatura universal i permeten comprendre uns textos ja coneguts des d'un punt de vista inusual i nou. Un plantejament que ultrapassa el cas català i s'inscriu en la reflexió entorn de la formació de les identitats a Europa per deixar entreveure la densa xarxa de connexions entre la política i la cultura, massa sovint negligida.
La Vall d'Uixó en el temps de la lloctinència de l'infant Martí
El present diplomatari té tres protagonistes: l'aljama d'Uixó, l'infant Martí, secundogènit del rei Pere el Cerimoniós, i la comtessa de Luna, Maria, la seua esposa. Compila 297 documents, datats entre 1372 i 1396, conservats actualment en la sèrie de registres de la lloctinència del rei Joan I de l'Arxiu de la Corona d'Aragó. Aquest corpus documental ofereix una visió sobre la vida dels sarraïns més multiforme i complexa del que es podria esperar per a una comunitat agrària, aïllada i discriminada a la baixa edat mitjana. Les aljames eren un punt d'atenció especial de la casa reial. La defensa de les seues immunitats i dels privilegis concedits, i la intercessió generalment favorable en els conflictes que els poguessen afectar, era determinada directament per les rendes ordinàries i extraordinàries que en recollia la Corona. Conseqüentment, els documents conservats en els registres reials sobre Uixó, es refereixen majoritàriament a l'ordre fiscal, pecuniari i jurisdiccional. Però se'n poden extraure dades sobre els càrrecs de l'aljama, els oficials cristians, l'agricultura, l'urbanisme, la població, la religió, els gravàmens, la criminalitat, els aldarulls i la repressió, entre d'altres informacions de la vida mudèjar vallera i del règim senyorial tardomedieval valencià.

Am Anfang war das Schmähwort: «Krauts» wurden deutsche Soldaten von den Briten im Zweiten Weltkrieg genannt. Als «Krautrock» bezeichneten Ende der Sechzigerjahre Journalisten weltweit alles, was musikalischen Ursprungs aus Deutschland daherstampfte, bevor der Begriff schließlich vor allem für experimentelle, anspruchsvolle Musik und psychedelisch angehauchten Art-Rock verwendet wurde. Vielseitige Gruppen wie Amon Düül, Faust, NEU! und Can definierten das Genre, ausufernde Klangwände, flirrende Elektronik und «kosmische Musik» bereiteten den Boden für Industrial und Techno. Auf Grundlage von Gesprächen mit Musikern und Zeitzeugen vermittelt Henning Dedekind das Lebensgefühl einer Zeit, die vom Vietnamkrieg und der Anti-Atomkraft-Bewegung geprägt wurde. Er analysiert die unterschiedlichen musikalischen Spielarten und zeigt auf, warum der Krautrock schließlich unterging und was von ihm geblieben ist.
