Este texto aborda la política pública de TIC en el contexto educativo de Colombia, integrado por el marco conceptual de políticas públicas, TIC y educación, así como los planes y programas de las TIC en el ámbito de la educación, en los contextos internacional y nacional, y el análisis jurisprudencial sobre TIC en la educación. Además, presenta una mirada histórica del área de tecnología e informática desde las políticas públicas, donde desarrolla la perspectiva teórica, revisión de antecedentes, el área de tecnología e informática desde las políticas públicas, los programas que forman educadores para el área de tecnología e informática en el contexto colombiano y latinoamericano, así como las políticas que han respaldado la formación de educadores en el área de tecnología e informática en el contexto internacional.
