Under Wildwood

Colin Meloy

In UNDER WILDWOOD, Colin Meloy and Carson Ellis reveal new dimensions of the epic fantasy-adventure series begun with the bestselling WILDWOOD.
Ever since Prue McKeel rescued her brother from the malevolent Dowager Governess and returned home from the Impassable Wilderness, life has been pretty dull. Prue's mind is constantly returning to the verdant groves and sky-tall trees of Wildwood, where her friend Curtis remains as a bandit-in-training.
But all is not well in that world. A hard winter has come and discord reigns. Dark assassins with mysterious motives conspire to settle the scores of an unknown client. A titan of industry employs inmates from his orphanage to work in his machine shop, all the while obsessing over the exploitation of the Impassable Wilderness. Under a growing threat, Prue is drawn back into Wildwood, where she and Curtis will face their greatest challenge yet: to save themselves and the lives of their friends, and to bring unity to a divided country. In order to do that, they must go under Wildwood.

Monster ABC

Kyle Sullivan

Created by identical twin brothers (Kyle is the author and Derek is the illustrator), Monster ABC is a quirky, witty alphabet book that is already a regional favorite in the Pacific Northwest. Now available for the first nationally, Monster ABC is sure to find a wide audience as one of the funnier, more adorable and thoughtful alphabet books on the market. This award-winning children's board book adds some energy and gentle irreverence to the alphabet book genre by introducing children to mythological monsters, the alphabet and silly wordplay all at once. This board book, along with the other books in the Hazy Dell Press Monster Series, is thoughtfully crafted to maximize the fun of story time for children and parents alike. And there's a lesson included as well: since monsters are made-up in our imaginations, they don't have to be scary at all. They can be as silly and nonthreatening as we want them to be.The combination of beautiful, detailed monster illustrations and witty, tongue-in-cheek verses puts this board book far ahead of the competition. If there’s one alphabet board book on the market that parents can enjoy as much as their children, this one is it. Popular among the surging demographic of “geek parents”, this book is a fan favorite at Comic Con events and among parents who identify as nerds – and are actively raising their kids as nerds-in-training. Including popular monsters with serious geek hipster cred (such as Chupacabra, Krampus, Sasquatch and Zombie), this book is sure to be a go-to-gift for hipster-friendly baby showers across the country.Derek and Kyle funded the first print run of Monster ABC with a successful Kickstarter campaign The success of Monster ABC has allowed Derek and Kyle to create four more titles in their Hazy Dell Press Monster Series, each of which take a popular monster from Monster ABC and give him or her the spotlight for their very own story. These titles include Goodnight Krampus, Get Dressed, Sasquatch!, Hush Now, Banshee!, and Don't Eat Me, Chupacabra! (¡No Me Comas, Chupacabra!). By the illustrator of Party Croc! Ava's Bench

Tim Ackley

My hope for all children is to have the best possible experience as a child. Hopefully, this book will empower children to overcome obstacles in their formative years. Also, may it serve to everyone how gratifying it is to help others gain self-assurance in a world full of challenges. One book may not solve all the problems of our youngest generation, but if it helps one boy or girl enjoy their right to a good childhood, it is worth all the efforts of all involved.

Recommended ages: 8 to 88

When The Night Is Dark

Christiana Coy

Have you ever been afraid of the dark? Have you ever thought you saw or heard something, but it really wasn’t what you had imagined? The boy in this book thinks he sees and hears scary things in the night but realizes those things are just ordinary objects and there is nothing to fear. We all have our own fears. Maybe our fears are not as bad as we think they are. Maybe we are imagining the worst and actually are scaring ourselves!
