The Boy Scouts MEGAPACK ®
The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910 and has grown to be one of the largest youth organizations in the world, with 2.7 million members. Scouts of various types have been a standard feature of young adult literature for generations – but one of the earliest kicked off in 1913. The «Boy Scouts» series by «Herbert Carter» (a pseudonym for author St. George Rathborne, who wrote the whole series with the exception of volume 9) ran for 12 volumes. It follows scouts through adventures with their local troop and then for the last few volumes embroils them in World War I action. Danny Dunn on a Desert Island
"I challenge you to a duel of desert islands!" Dr. Grimes cries, when Professor Bulfinch accuses him of not being practical. Danny Dunn and the Anti-Gravity Paint
Through a mishap in Professor Bulfinch's laboratory, Danny accidentally creates an anti-gravity paint. The natural use, of course, is for a spaceship – the paint can replace rockets to get the ship into space. Unfortunately, the spaceship is launched prematurely after Danny and Joe follow Professor Bulfinch and Dr. Grimes on a tour of the ship.
