First published in 1883, this classic of children's literature is known worldwide as a story of a wooden puppet boy and his creator, Geppetto. The Enchanted Castle

American author, journalist, and social activist Jack London is best known for his stories set during the Klondike gold rush. The Swiss Family Robinson
First published in 1812, Johann David Wyss’s “The Swiss Family Robinson” is a classic story of survival on a deserted tropical island. While en route to Australia, the titular Swiss Family Robinson finds themselves in great peril when their vessel is caught in a violent storm. As the ship breaks apart when it is battered against a reef, the family is abandoned by their crew, who escape without them in the lifeboats. The family, which consists of a mother, father, and their four sons, are left to fend for themselves. Luckily as the storm subsides they see an island in the distance. After salvaging a plethora of food, livestock, and other supplies they fashion a crude raft from the wreckage and make their way for the island. Every day on the island brings a new adventure and a new obstacle to overcome, as the family struggles to survive in a foreign land isolated from society. Johann David Wyss, a Swiss pastor, wrote this tale of adventure not only to entertain but to instruct, specifically his four sons, in the ways of good family values and the virtue of self-reliance. The Secret Garden (Illustrated by Charles Robinson)
One of the most beloved children’s stories of all time “The Secret Garden” is arguably Francis Hodgson Burnett’s most famous novel. First serialized in the fall of 1910 and in book form in 1911, “The Secret Garden” is the story of Mary Lennox, a sick young girl living in India with her parents. Mary rarely sees her parents though, as her sick and unsightly condition is too much for them to bother with. She is placed in the constant care of Indian servants until an outbreak of cholera kills everyone in the Lennox household except for Mary. Mary returns to Yorkshire to live with her uncle, Archibald Craven. It is here that Mary learns of a secret garden that belonged to the late wife of her uncle. Mary is instantly intrigued and sets out to find this secret garden and what is contained within. This classic story is one which explores the healing power inherent in all living things, in this case that which grows in the garden. For its inspirational outlook in the face of tragic circumstances “The Secret Garden” is a work that has come to be cherished by generations of young readers ever since its first publication. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz
First published in 1901, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” follows the magical adventure of Dorothy, a young girl who lives with her Aunt Em and Uncle Henry on a farm in Kansas. One day when Dorothy is caught up in tornado with her little dog, Toto, she finds her farmhouse has been magically transplanted to Munchkin Country in the mystical Land of Oz. Her house lands on the evil Wicked Witch of the East, killing her, and freeing the Munchkins from her rule. As a reward the Good Witch of the North gives Dorothy the magical Silver Shoes that belonged to the Witch and sets her on her way down the yellow brick road to the Emerald City to ask the Wizard for help in returning to Kansas. Along the way she meets several interesting characters including the Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman, and the Cowardly Lion who join her on her travels to ask the Wizard for help of their own. The journey is not without peril though, as the Wicked Witch of the West, who wants revenge for the killing of her sister and to regain the magical Silver Shoes, unleashes numerous dangers against Dorothy and her companions. “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” is a classic story of fantasy which is considered to be the first American fairy tale. The Wind in the Willows (Illustrated by Nancy Barnhart)
First published in 1908, “The Wind in the Willows” is one of the most cherished works of children’s literature ever written, undoubtedly Kenneth Grahame’s most famous work. Originally written as a series of bedtime stories for the author’s son, the story begins at the arrival of spring where we find the good-natured Mole tired of doing his spring cleaning. Mole decides to abandon his cleaning in order to enjoy the fresh air of spring. He journeys to the river where he meets Rat, whom he quickly befriends. Together the two row down the river eventually meeting up with Toad at Toad Hall. There they discover Toad’s current obsession with his horse-drawn caravan, one which he quickly abandons for a motorcar when his caravan is run off the road by one. A fourth friend enters the story in the form of Badger and when it is discovered that Toad’s obsession is becoming self-destructive, Mole, Rat, and Badger intervene to help protect Toad from himself. This collection of stories is a captivating and timeless classic which brings alive the creatures of the woodland. This edition is illustrated by Nancy Barnhart and includes a biographical afterword.

Ook zijn op basis van nieuwe inzichten functies nader omschreven en nieuwe functies gedefi nieerd.In dit rapport is een koppeling met het e-CF gelegd, het Europees competentieframework datook in Nederland steeds breder wordt geadopteerd. Het competentiemodel dat in het rapport van2001 is gepresenteerd (het Ngi-competentiemodel ), is daarvoor uitgebreid: de e-competentiereferenties(e-competences ) van het e-CF zijn toegevoegd. Vanwege het opgaan van Ngi in KNVI(zie hoofdstuk 2) heeft het model een nieuwe naam gekregen: het KNVI-competentiemodel .Het competentiemodel in dit rapport gaat verder dan alleen ICT-functies. Het strekt zich uitover alle activiteiten rond informatievoorziening. En dat zowel in gebruikersorganisaties enICT-organisaties als bij ICT-leveranciers en in ICT-regieorganisaties2 . Tevens is onderkend datorganisaties en bedrijfsprocessen één geheel vormen met ICT. Ze vullen elkaar aan, beïnvloedenelkaar en zijn wederzijds afhankelijk.
