Ausblick

      Die Relevanz des Themas Patientenzentrierung wird aus unterschiedlichen Blickwinkeln deutlich. Gleichzeitig ist die Umsetzung in der Gesundheitsversorgung bisher unzureichend. Obwohl sich Barrieren und Möglichkeiten der Förderung auf unterschiedlichen Ebenen identifizieren lassen, bleibt letztendlich unklar, wie diese Aktivitäten zusammenspielen müssen, um zu der nötigen Disruption zu führen, die es schafft den Patienten wahrhaftig in den Mittelpunkt der Versorgung zu rücken.

      Ein einheitliches Verständnis von Patientenzentrierung, wie es durch das integrative Modell der Patientenzentrierung gefördert werden soll (Scholl et al. 2014), kann es Wissenschaftlern und anderen Akteuren im Gesundheitswesen erleichtern, die verschiedenen Aspekte von Patientenzentrierung gleichermaßen zu berücksichtigen und Wechselwirkungen zu erfassen.

      Eine kontinuierliche Messung der erlebten Patientenzentrierung aus Patientensicht stellt eine weitere Möglichkeit der Förderung dar. Da es bisher an geeigneten global einsetzbaren Messinstrumenten fehlt, beschäftigt sich eine laufende Studie mit der Entwicklung eines Instruments zur Erfassung der 16 Dimensionen von Patientenzentrierung aus Patientensicht (Christalle et al. 2018). Hierdurch können Defizite der ambulanten und stationären Versorgung genau aufgezeigt werden und entsprechende zielgerichtete Interventionen umgesetzt werden, um so die Qualität der Versorgung zu steigern.
