bathe in light, but it’s not a tunnel, and not a tube; at that, you begin to ascend. You feel no fear, you are not being “sucked in by a vacuum cleaner”, but you move ever higher. It’s not clear yet where to and why but feeling is very comfortable. You rise as high as you can, to say more exactly, the more light you have, the higher you rise. It’s a very strange feeling.

      At some moment, you stop since you cannot ascend anymore, nor descend. In a sense, it’s difficult for you to get brought to a halt because of burden having been accrued during your life, and which you don’t know how to dispose of. You lack knowledge, abilities, capabilities. The burden comprises any unsettled issues, conflicts, resentments, malicious intents, fears, guilt, and other —“side effects” of physical incarnation.

      No one comes for you. If you think you will be met by your relatives and acquaintances who have died long ago, you’re wrong. I would like to dispel the ecclesiastical myth about 3-9-40 days. It’s not true. This is approximate and means statistics about what goes on with the soul further on. But it can vary widely. There is no nepotism. Neither pressure, persuasion, nor other dodgy deals. You can’t use your terrestrial authority, regalia, or power, as well as relations and money. Moreover, there is no bureaucracy here.

      That is nothing like a terrestrial court at all. There are no lawyers, prosecutors and wigged judges here, but the action resembles “debriefing” on your life that you’ve just got through. The final verdict includes a list of correction measures. This is necessary for cleansing your soul from sins of your spent life. Everything you didn’t manage to understand or perceive for the duration of your life, you will work out here. This is not a punishment. The soul gets contaminated in the course of life. Think about how you came into this world. You were pure, lucid, and open. Now look at what you have become like in a couple of dozens of years. By the age of 50, you resemble “a grunting shrimp”. You’re growling, complaining, getting annoyed, and resenting. The question is how you’ve passed from the first state into the second?
