      Description: This miscellaneous collection of papers documents anti-Semitism in various forms in South Africa mostly during the 1930s. The collection includes a typescript extract from the anti-Semitic encyclopedia, Sigilla Veri (Bodung Verlag, Erfurt, 1929), in which a South African describes the extent to which Jews have infiltrated every layer of society; a letter of 12 Oct 1937, documenting the activities of South African nationalists including the founding of a new newspaper, De Transvaler, their annual congress, and their connections with the expatriate German community; and a report, dated 20 Sept. 1939, concerning a lawsuit against a leading South African anti-Semite, Salomon Gerhardus Maritz (General Manie Maritz).
