INTRODUCING
CAROLYN D ANDERSON AUTHOR/PUBLISHER CAROLYN WISHES TO DEDICATE THESE STORIES TO HER GRANDCHILDREN AND TO CHILDREN EVERYWHERE. SHE WISHES TO THANK ALL WHO HAVE HELPED IN ANY WAY ESPECIALLY HER ARTIST BRYAN J. LYNCH AND HER HUSBAND STEVEN J. ANDERSON WITHOUT WHOSE HELP THIS WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE.
THIS BOOK BELONGS TO
There once was a little puppy.
He was mostly white with a black spot.
You would think his name should be Spot.
But not him, NO—SIR—EEEh.
The only name for him was SNOOPY SPOT.
Why, he couldn’t stay out of here;
he couldn’t stay out of there;
he couldn’t stay out of anywhere.
His nose was always in the wrong place.
He always had sore ears and paws,
or a sore nose on his face.
He would chase after the cats.
and they would dig him,
you see.
And once, he caught his paw in a gopher trap behind a tree.
Poor Snoopy Spot. Seems he just never learned.
It seems trouble and mischief
was his greatest concern.
Would you like to know the greatest trouble
Snoopy Spot ever got into?
Well. I’ll tell you if I can find where to begin.
One lovely Summer day, he was invited (IF HE’D BE GOOD)
to join with the family on a picnic in the woods.
The children had begged,
“Please Daddy. let Spot go
We’ll watch him closely.”
How could Mom and Dad say
“NO?”
So, they piled in the pick-up truck and headed
for the woods. And it looked like, for a while
Snoopy Spot was really going to be good.
But when the truck stopped, and Dad let them out.
Old Snoopy Spot started snooping about.
