Анималины – существа, своей внешностью напоминающие и людей, и зверей. Свиток, говорящий о том, кому же принадлежал этот остров изначально, находится где-то в его глуши. Ни Стонголия, ни Лаета не решаются начать поиски, опасаясь нарушить мир. Оба королевства закрывают морские пути друг к другу. Понимая, что что-нибудь всё же может спровоцировать королевства на борьбу, капитан парусника «Ветер» решает отправиться на остров, чтобы найти свиток. Вслед за «Ветром» посылают боевой корабль «Беркут».

В первом рассказе юные поезда хотели помочь друг другу, но не рассчитали свои силы и устроили аварию. Во втором вредные дизели Гарик и Жорик не посыпали рельсы песком и паровозик Артём на большой скорости вылетел на лёд и чуть не утонул! А в третьем паровозик Артём вёз в город Уссурийск вагон с рыбой и встретил в лесу медведицу с медвежатами, которые тоже любят рыбу.
