Welcome to Sonnetville, New Jersey

Craig Morgan Teicher

Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize-winning poet and nationally recognized literary critic Craig Morgan Teicher’s Welcome to Sonnetville, New Jersey is a poetry collection about entering middle age, raising a young family, sustaining a marriage, and taking care of a severely disabled child. Built around two sequences of sonnets, and interrupted by two sets of lyric poems, a set of prose poems, and a long poem about death, the book narrates a family’s move to the suburbs and their coming to terms with the ghosts of the past and with hard-to-hold hopes for the future.

Sown at the seams with wildflowers

Laura Roberts

This book offers to hold your hand when the world goes dark. It speaks from the silence, of a way back home to the luminescent light of the soul. Containing promises she felt from heaven, and transcribed from the stars. Words gathered by moonlight, and whispered on to the page. This is a book for anybody who wishes to be touched by the power of prayer, the grace of forgiveness and the insurmountable joy of falling, deeply, wildly, in love.

Where Wildflowers Bloom

Sabrina E McAlister

When you are in the midst of toxicity you are in a cloud of haze. My rock bottom nearly killed me. To this day if I told you what I experienced you would say it was a horror sci-fi movie. I was externally attacked. Everything that was done to me was done in the dark and hidden. I survived because at the core of me I knew who I was and what I stand for …which is peace, love, acceptance, freedom. There was no quick fix, this was a daily conscious effort on my part. My Poetic thoughts are about my painful and beautiful experiences. I've always been someone who focuses on the good and for me writing about my experiences turned my betrayals, traumas and things that needed to be healed within me into something beautiful. I had to find the master within myself. To calm the tornado of emotions within to truly set myself free.

the first conversation the sun had with the moon

jason a. kendall

This is a collection of poems that follow me back to my younger days. These poems reveal some of the darkest moments of my life, in addition to the most overwhelmingly happy ones. They're based on observations, both fictional and factual. They embrace the intersections of life and death. They reflect nature and its preposterous hold on my soul. These poems have emanated from notebooks, napkins, text messages with my brother, the imaginations of my kids, my romance with my loving wife, and various other ingredients of the life the poems seek to illustrate. They are a journey, embarking into my love for writing and the curiousness of everyday life. This journey seems to be indefinite…

The Ivy Entangles

D J Gill

This collection of poems, 'The Ivy Entangles', attempts to share with the reader some of the inner thoughts, the sentiments and perhaps at times a certain perspective or opinion of some events, people and places that have been significant to me during my life to date. Dermot Gill simply accepts raw reality as it is and presents it in such a charming way.

Catastrophic

Humphrey Hartney

At the end of 2019, the state of New South Wales erupted into flames. Intense local bushfires joined fronts and the subsequent megafire threatened lives, communities, and dramatically challenged how Australians saw themselves and their nation. Confronted by his burning world, poet and resident of the Blue Mountains, Humphrey Hartney, captures the drama and emotion of this great tragedy. Catastrophic is a powerful poetic witness account that reveals exactly how flammable we are.
