you, you are more able to follow your chosen path. Certain emotions can create blockages when not dealt with correctly. By becoming more aware of your thoughts and emotions, you will have the tools to change to respond to emotions, instead of reacting to them.

      1.Close your eyes and focus on a specific challenge, problem or hurdle in you life at this specific moment in time. Record in your journal how this makes you feel in terms of your motivation. Does it give you more or less motivation in terms of achieving anything?

      2.Close your eyes and focus on something in your life at this specific moment that makes you feel pleasant, joyful and happy. Record in your journal how this makes you feel in terms of your motivation. Does it give you more or less motivation in terms of achieving anything?

      5. JOURNEY PAGE: Measuring Your Emotional Intelligence

      Tick the box that best describes the way you feel by transferring this information into your journal.

      If you have answered more “Yes’s” and “Not Sure’s” than the amount of “No’s”, then you predominantly give your emotions the power to rule your life. It’s also important to understand that it is your perception of the situation.

      6. JOURNEY PAGE: Unearthing and Sensing Anger

      1.Close your eyes, and think of a time when you felt upset at someone. Re-live the moment by concentrating your thoughts and feelings in regards to this issue for a moment.

      2.Record in your journal how it makes you feel. Please eliminate the words “upset” and “angry” in your answer.

      3.Describe in your journal how your physical body feels in terms of comfort or discomfort.

      4.Do you think allowing anger into your physical body is good for you? Yes/No

      5.How do you think your anger is associated with fear in this situation?

      6.Acknowledge angers presence and insist that it to leaves you. Do not ask if it could leave you, as when you do, you give it room and reason to be with you. You give this power to something and/or someone else to decide for you. When you take ownership of anger, you can control its existence to be or not to be with you.

      7.Understand that “love” and “trust” are powerful forces that by allowing them to be unearthed over the rumbles of anger, you have gained more power. Change your perception “now” from remaining angry to responding with “love” and “trust” to change your outcome. Focus on “love” and “trust” for a moment and record in your journal how you feel.

      The Power of Anger

      Anger is one of the most destructive human traits. It changes your entire perspective of a situation as everything becomes distorted. It causes misunderstanding between humans and overpowers your harmony. People who have carried anger with them their entire life are more susceptible to illness. That is why its important to keep your immune system in check by influencing it by reducing any anger.

      Next time you feel angry, you may notice that all of a sudden you have an increased heart rate and your breathing becomes short and rapid. Practice focusing on your breath by taking long and deep breaths in and out whilst at the same time distracting yourself by choosing to think or do something else. Another great way of not allowing anger to grow is to do something that you love to do as love has a greater power than anger. You can create a different outcome by not responding whilst being angry and try to respond whilst you are feeling calm.

      People tend to get angry when they feel that they are not being loved or that they are not in control of the situation which also creates fear within them.

      7. JOURNEY PAGE: Sensing Fear

      1.Close your eyes for a moment and think of a fearful situation in your past. Write in your journal what it feels like.

      2.How do you sometimes respond with fear with a specific person?

      3.What is your physiological response to fear? (What does it do to your physical body)

      4.Do you have more or less power when you fear?

      5.Close you eyes and become aware of “fears” presence again.

      6.Acknowledge it by stating that you know that it is the reason behind your anger, anxiety, frustration, and any of your addictions.

      7.Do you think it’s possible that your fear is associated with you not achieving your goal and your dreams?

      8.Tell your fears subconsciously that you will not allow it to prevent your belief, faith, confidence or trust from appearing and you are aware of its deceptive ways of coming into your world.

      When we allow ourselves to fear, we experience mistrust in what we perceive to be the truth. Only by changing our perception and allowing love and trust, do we become more positive and increase our personal power.

      To have more influence, power and control of your life, you need to tip the scale towards love and trust.

      The Power of Fear

      Fear is a huge contributor that prevents you from doing something new in life. Fear is created when you don’t feel in control of either a person or a situation. There is less trust in the situation. Fear is such a powerful force in your earthly life that it literally drains power from you where you have less motivation to do something greater for yourself. The more you believe in yourself through trusting, the more desire you will have in attaining your goal. Fear has been ingrained in humans since childhood through older humans in order to protect the younger ones from any physical or emotional harm. Sometimes the fear has been too great that it no longer protects and instead inhibits their abilities by creating blockages in their life.

      Next time you feel fearful of a situation, try to shift your consciousness by initially trying to understand why you are feeling the way you are and then program some new beliefs about yourself by telling yourself you have no valid reason to feel fearful. Sometimes the only thing you may fear is uncertainty or of the unknown about your future. By creating a life plan, you can reduce some of your fears and break forth into the unknown with a clear vision and plan for your future.
