Die Suche nach einer Alternative beginnt. Der nahe gelegene Likhu Chuli 1 gilt in der Region als noch unbestiegen – ein reizvolles Ziel. So kommt es, dass die beiden am 11. November bei nächtlicher Dunkelheit in die Nordwand dieses Berges einsteigen, in der Hoffnung, nur wenige Tage später als erste Menschen diesen Himalaya-Gipfel zu erreichen. Doch der Weg nach oben ist steil und bitterkalt. Was treibt eine Profikletterin an? Warum wagt sich Ines Papert erneut auf eine Expedition, nachdem sie sich schon so schwer verletzt hatte, dass sie das Klettern fast hätte aufgeben müssen? «Unverfroren» erzählt nicht nur von einer dramatischen Expedition, sondern gewährt auch tiefe Einblicke in das Seelenleben einer Extremsportlerin. Ergänzt wird diese packende Erzählung von persönlichen Momentaufnahmen des Bergsport-Fotografen Thomas Senf, der Ines Papert auf ihrer Expedition zum Likhu Chuli 1 begleitet hat.
