Milagro Sala emerge en este apasionante retrato como el fruto de las contradicciones y violencias nacidas en la Conquista y Colonización. Creó la organización Tupac Amaru apoyándose en una población de marginales y jóvenes desocupados a quienes el liberalismo salvaje de los años noventa y, sobre todo, la crisis de 2001, habían abandonado a su suerte. La actividad febril e ininterrumpida de la Tupac consiguió levantar cerca de 8000 viviendas, centros de salud, colegios, natatorios, parques temáticos y las emblemáticas «Copas de Leche». Esa gigantesca infraestructura, que le valió la acusación de «Estado paralelo», hoy se encuentra en peligro de desaparecer o caer en el descuido más completo. Para algunos bruja, para otros la Evita negra, esta dirigente social consiguió un nuevo milagro: devolverles a los pueblos originarios el lugar que durante siglos la Historia les negó en la Argentina, poner en tiempo presente lo que creímos pasado.

Army Life in a Black Regiment
"Army Life in a Black Regiment" is an account by Thomas Wentworth Higginson, a colonel of the 1st South Carolina Volunteers, the first federally authorized black regiment, in which he described his Civil War experiences. Higginson's account is particularly important owing to the fact that he contributed to the preservation of Negro spirituals by copying dialect verses and music he heard sung around the regiment's campfires.
