Aber ist eine Verbindung zwischen Julie und Jean wirklich möglich?Fräulein Julie ist ein Kammerspiel von 1888 und eines von Strindbergs meist gespielten Werken. Im berühmt gewordenen Vorwort formuliert Strindberg eine theoretische Grundlage des modernen naturalistischen Theaters.-
Die Gespenstersonate
In einem alten Haus nehmen der Student Arkenholz und der Greis Direktor Hummel an den Gespenstersoirees eines vermeintlich adligen Oberst teil. Im Laufe des Dinners im Kreise einer morbiden Gesellschaft werden sie Zeugen und Protagonisten brisanter Enthüllungen, denn nichts ist wirklich so, wie es auf den ersten Blick scheint. «Die Gespenstersonate» ist ein Kammerspiel, das 1908 in Strindbergs «Intima teatern» uraufgeführt wurde, jedoch beim Publikum durchfiel. Est vier Jahre nach dem Tod Strindbergs, im Jahr 1916, wurde es durch die spektakuläre Berliner Inszenierung von Max Reinhardt zum Erfolg.-
Meister Olaf
Im Zentrum des Dramas steht der schwedische Reformator Olaf Pettersson, bekannt unter dem Namen Olaus Petri. Im 16. Jahrhundert, einer Zeit unerbittlicher Haltungen und und strenger Herrschaft, kämpft er für die Freiheit des Volkes und die Demokratisierung der Kirche. In seinem Streben wird er gehasst und ausgebeutet. Seine eigene Mutter verfluch ihn und der König benutzt ihn als Bauern im herrschaftlichen Ränkespiel. Olafs Kampf um die Erneuerung des Alten nimmt eine unerwartete Wendung, als er von einer Verschwörung erfährt und sich entscheiden muss, wie er sich verhält… -
