Lucy Bostil is the daughter of a big horse lover and she enjoys horse as well, On one of her rides she encounters Lin Sloan during his hunt for a wild mustang he calls Wildfire. When Lin and Wildfire almost die in an accident, Lucy manages to save them, and both the man and the horse grow fond of Lucy. After her father gets involved with some murky characters Lucy gets in trouble and Lin and Wildfire embrace the opportunity to return a favor and save her.

Hettie Ide pines away for the missing Nevada, meanwhile fending off a horde of suitors. Nevada resumes the life of an outlaw, seeking a way out of his situation, but working his way deeper amidst the labyrinthine social network of Arizona, in which everyone is a rustler and no one will say who leads the gangs.

Though an outlaw is not always a criminal, if the Rangers say he is an outlaw, it's just as bad – he's a hunted man. After killing a man in self-defense, Duane is forced to 'go on the dodge'. Duane turns up at an outlaw's hideout, still revolting at the idea of outlawry. At the outlaw hideout, he meets a kidnapped, beautiful young woman and desires to see her free. Duane later joins the Rangers, who want him to help to clear the frontier of major cattle rustlers and bank robbers, in return for the governor's pardon of his illegal deeds. "The Border Legion" tells the story of a cold hearted man named Jack Kells who falls in love with Miss Joan Randle, a girl his legion has taken captive near the Idaho border. "The Border Legion" follows the story of Joan Randle, a woman on the Idaho frontier. She is pursued by Jim Cleve, but Joan rejects him, and brokenhearted, Jim leaves town to become an outlaw. Joan regrets her refusal and goes after him, but gets taken captive near the Idaho border by the legion of Jack Kells. So begins a wild adventure for Joan.
This western by Zane Grey is the story of Thad Eburne, the chief forest ranger of the Grand Canyon region, mostly attending to the large deer herd in the Buckskin range. But because of the unrestricted slaughter of cougars on Buckskin Mountain, the deer population has overgrown and started starving. When Thad learns about the government's intent to open a huge deer hunt to hundreds of hunters, he fears that it will worsen man's destructive meddling with nature, and he agrees to act on a plan to try and preserve as many of the deers as possible. This book is Zane Grey's description of a real event at the Grand Canyon in 1924. Grey illustrates the scenery with his elevated words in a fascinating way. The depictions of the land, the essence of the west, and the theme of conservation are all outstanding. The novel is a perfect western with an adventurous story with the right amount of romance.
Wild Horse Mesa is a western set in Utah during the late 1800s that circles a wild-horse wrangler, Chane Weymer. His biggest win would be to capture the great wild stallion, Panquitch, whose shelter is Wild Horse Mesa. This pursuit of entrapping a herd of wild horses makes an engaging set-piece and holds the reader's interest in discovering the next moves of the hero. This action-packed story also has a slight romantic angle, making it even more enjoyable. It's full of horse thieves, horse chases, Indians, and several significant twists and turns. Like all of Zane Grey's westerns, this one also has incredibly vivid descriptions of the west, the scenery, and the people, along with powerful and lifelike characterizations. Grey is a master at illustrating action scenes with such perfect imagery that one can visualize it happening. This work is a must-read for those who love westerns or action in general.
