Only when Andi rides to Reno and Salt Lake City on her Harley-Davidson to interview relatives of recent victims, does the motive for the crime make sense. Andi and Huber confront the villain and barely escape being silenced.

    A Bet Turned Deadly

They organize a camping trip with 12 people up in the Angeles National Forest Mountains, allowing no electronic devices. When they suffer severe hardship and are stranded on the mountain with no way out, Jacob goes for help on foot and never returns.<br><br>Six months after his disappearance, hikers stumble onto his remains, and the case changes from a missing person&#39;s file to a full-blown police investigation. Once events are brought to the surface, another member of the group is killed. The unexpected ending of A BET TURNED DEADLY is something the reader will not easily forget.

    Guilty or Not

    In the first chapter Rachel Penrose is standing trial for the murder of her fianc&Atilde;&copy;, Steven Moretti, and in the last chapter, the trial continues and comes to a revealing end. The pages in between are the essence of the story. The evidence against Rachel is indisputable. Everyone is convinced of her guilt except her old friend Jonathan Lighthart, who believes in her innocence and hires R. A. Huber to find the real culprit. Huber accepts the challenge, which puts her and her young assistant, Andi, on a cruise to Alaska, and ultimately on a frantic race against time. Days before the trial, Huber gets a breakthrough, but the villain cannot risk having her testify and launches a brutal attack, landing her in the hospital in critical condition.

    Murder At the Cubbyhole

    Who killed the aspiring young actress, Megan Maguire, and just as importantly, why? Megan&#39;s parents hire R. A. Huber to find out. The seasoned sleuth and her spunky assistant Andi set about to unravel the obscure reason for the murder. The young victim&#39;s short life had revolved around an amateur theater group where she had played the lead character role of Vanity in the play From Sin to Virtue. Among the murder suspects are Megan&#39;s roommate, her employer, the Cubbyhole Theater owners, her acting instructor, and several fellow cast members, including the director. An old boyfriend is also probed, and the investigating pair cannot rule out her parents. The mystery comes to a climax when Huber and Andi put their own lives on the line in order to corner the villain.
