Der Eurocode 2 – DIN EN 1992 „Bemessung und Konstruktion von Stahlbeton- und Spannbetontragwerken“ mit seinen Nationalen Anhängen wurde im Jahr 2012 bauaufsichtlich eingeführt. Seit 2013 sind die Eurocodes auch für den Brücken- und Ingenieurbau der Bundesfernstraßen und der Eisenbahnen des Bundes verbindlich anzuwenden. Für das Verständnis und die Einarbeitung in den Eurocode 2 legt der Deutsche Beton- und Bautechnik-Verein E. V. eine aktualisierte Beispielsammlung vor. Band 2 enthält acht durchgerechnete Beispiele für typische Bauteile des Brücken-, Ingenieur- und Hochbaus. Diese entsprechen den aus der DBV-Beispielsammlung zu DIN 1045-1 bekannten Beispielen und gestatten somit einen direkten Vergleich der Bemessungsregeln und der Ergebnisse nach beiden Normen. Die Aufgabenstellungen sind komplexer als im ersten Band gefasst (Spannbeton-Straßenbrücken, Vorspannung von Flachdecken, Gebäudeaussteifung) bzw. auf spezielle Nachweise (plastische und nichtlineare Berechnungsverfahren, Durchbiegung, Erdbebenbemessung) ausgerichtet. Die Autoren haben versucht, die wesentlichen Neuerungen und einige noch nicht im Band 1 gezeigte Nachweise nach Eurocode 2 in einer verständnisfördernden Ausführlichkeit darzustellen und auch, wo notwendig, die Hintergründe computergestützt erzielter Ergebnisse zu erläutern. Die Sammlung vermittelt Praktikern und Studenten fundierte Kenntnisse der Nachweisführung nach Eurocode 2 und dient als Hilfsmittel bei der Erstellung prüffähiger statischer Berechnungen im Stahlbeton- und Spannbetonbau. The abbreviated text of Eurocode 2 Part 1-1 with national annex has been collected into a continuously readable text, with all national requirements highlighted in colour. This shortened version is the ideal pocket version for design practice on normal building projects.

Eurocode 2 «Design of concrete structures – Part 1-1: General Rules, and rules for buildings» (EC2-1-1) and the German National Annex were tested and improved upon during a thorough trial phase and is now ready for its official implementation by building authorities in Germany. This book offers a consolidated version of the code geared for practical applications. It consists of a corrected Eurocode 2 text where the national regulations were integrated into the corresponding paragraphs, equations and illustrations of the code. At the same time those recommendations not applicable to Germany were removed. To increase its practical value, the national stipulations, changes and additions are highlighted. Short explanations and references are provided on the edge of the code text and provide an aid in adjusting to and daily use of it. The appendix offers further and more comprehensive commentaries regarding the background of the code in order to deepen its understanding. The work is rounded off with a set of design aids. The publishing associations – Federal Association of Checking Engineers for Construction Technology (BVPI), German Concrete and Construction Technology Association (DBV), Association of Reinforcing Steel (ISB), and German Association of Consulting Engineers (VBI) – assume that this commented and consolidated version is a prerequisite to applying Eurocode 2-1-1 and its National Annex in practice with a reasonable amount of effort.
