Spiritual Poetry

Cynthia J. J. Wesley

My spiritual poetry is for any and all whom are on a chosen path of spirituality or even contemplating their own path of spirituality. Our roads in life have many paths and learning experiences. To encompass these learning lessons as blessings is truly accepting who you are spiritually. My future book of poetry will represent the archangels and how they can and do help us when we call upon them for assistance in our lives. Being able to write such beautiful poetry leads me on my path to a deeper understanding of who we truly are.

The Lonely Little Mesa

Brian Renshaw

My family enjoys traveling, primarily by auto, but we have also taken our sons across the country by Amtrak. Visits included a number of stops at several National Parks. During a recent trip from California, I was impacted by our spectacular South West geography. The images haunted my mind until the idea blossomed to write about them. I chose to appeal to young people, and to inspire them to learn about, and visit many beautiful parts of the United States.

Buddy and Sable

Sharon Weber

Love. Fear. Joy. Anxiety. Buddy, a Boston terrier, and Sable, a miniature schnauzer, demonstrated these feelings from day to day. Eureka! Sharon had an idea! Buddy and Sable would socially and emotionally support children and connect them to the realities of life. Many thanks go to Sharon’s dear friend and neighbor, Nolan Haynes, owner of Buddy and Sable, for allowing her to use them as characters and bring her stories to life. Sharon had a wonderful opportunity interacting with Buddy and Sable and has written about their delightful personalities. Bedtime Stories From the Land of Imagination Vol. 1

Linda Hoard

Bedtime Stories from the Land of Imagination is a set of six delightful fantasy stories written to spark the imagination of children from ages three to eight years old. The stories were written by Christian author Linda Hoard and inspired by her own precious grandchildren as they traveled the US in their luxury RV with their parents as storm chasers, that is, with the parents having occupations as insurance adjusters following major US hurricanes, hail storms, and floods. Linda, a life-long follower of Jesus Christ, writes bedtime stories for the very young with pearls of wisdom embedded in each. Her short stories encourage healthy childhood behavior, respect for parents, caring, sharing, kindness, and love. Linda is committed to writing books that matter with knowledge gained through years of personal study in the behavioral sciences, pointing to the fact that as the twig is bent . . . so grows the tree. It matters greatly how we treat our gifts from God, our children, as well as how we instruct these precious treasures who are our American legacy. “The apple does not fall far from the tree.”

The Adventures of Hooey & Friends

Iris Allyn Klipp

"Young children will identify with Hooey, a turtle, as he attempts to avoid trouble by hiding in his shell, with his best friend, Truey, who is loyal; Mac, as he welcomes mischief; and Myrtle the Turtle, who accepts and includes Mac in their circle of friends. As a didactic teaching tool, children, teachers, and parents will be delighted with the storyline, moral themes, illustrations, colors, and rhyming words." —Janet Sage, retired reading special education resource specialist, K–12
