Автор считает, что все таинственные смыслы человеческого бытия интегрирует в себе традиционный человек, отодвинутый Западным утилитарным жизнеустройством на обочину истории. В ответ на этот вызов на арену истории вышел русский (православный) вариант традиционного человека, а после Октябрьской революции 1917 г. он называется советским человеком. Бенедикт Спиноза – основополагающая, веховая фигура в истории мировой философии. Учение Спинозы продолжает начатые Декартом революционные движения мысли в европейской философии, отрицая ценности былых веков, средневековую религиозную догматику и непререкаемость авторитетов. Спиноза был философским бунтарем своего времени; за вольнодумие и свободомыслие от него отвернулась его же община.
