Interstellar Space Journey

Speedy Publishing

The latest movie about traveling between galaxies has sparked many people's interest in its potential. Unfortunately, the film is not really designed for a child's mind. Thus, a book about interstellar space exploration can help them see how wondrous the idea is for mankind. It may help push them in a direction of work or passion that they never considered before. Young minds need inspiration, and a story about the stars may push them that way faster than ever before.

Differential Geometry through Supersymmetric Glasses

A V Smilga

Back in 1982, Edward Witten noticed that classical problems of differential geometry and differential topology such as the de Rham complex and Morse theory can be described in a very simple and transparent way using the language of supersymmetric quantum mechanics. Since then, many research papers have been written on this subject. Unfortunately not all the results in this field known to mathematicians have obtained a transparent physical interpretation, even if this new physical technique has also allowed many mathematical results to be derived which are completely new, in particular, hyper-Kaehler and the so-called HKT geometry. But in almost 40 years, no comprehensive monograph has appeared on this subject. So this book written by an expert in supersymmetric quantum field theories, supersymmetric quantum mechanics and its geometrical applications, addresses this yearning gap.It comprises three parts: The first, GEOMETRY, gives basic information on the geometry of real, complex, hyper-Kaehler and HKT manifolds, and is principally addressed to the physicist. The second part 'PHYSICS' presents information on classical mechanics with ordinary and Grassmann dynamics variables. Besides, the author introduces supersymmetry and dwells in particular on the representation of supersymmetry algebra in superspace. And the last and most important part of the book 'SYNTHESIS', is where the ideas borrowed from physics are used to study purely mathematical phenomena.Contents:

Geometry:

Real Manifolds

Complex Manifolds

Hyper-Kähler and HKT Manifolds

Physics:

Dynamical Systems with and without Grassmann Variables

Supersymmetry

Path Integrals and the Witten Index

Superspace and Superfields

Synthesis:

Supersymmetric Description of the de Rham Complex

Supersymmetric Description of the Dolbeault Complex

Sigma Models with Extended Supersymmetries

Taming the Zoo of Models

HK and HKT through Harmonic Glasses

Gauge Fields on the Manifolds

Atiyah-Singer Theorem

Readership: Graduate students and researchers interested in theoretical and mathematical physics.Supersymmetry;Differential Geometry;Sigma Models;Complex Manifolds;Hyper-Kaehler Manifolds00

Big Book of the Cosmos for Kids

Speedy Publishing

Why would a child enjoy a Big Book of the Cosmos for Kids (Picture Book)? If you have a child that is inspired by the solar system and the planets, they will absolutely love a Big Book of the Cosmos for Kids. It is a picture book that shows magnificent photos of our solar systems planets and other planetary bodies. Likewise, explaining just what all these things are. Hollywood produces many sci-fi movies involving the solar systems. So it should be no surprise that children would enjoy a book about the cosmos as well. Even if the explanations are hard to understand, it will spark their curiosity and make them wonder about the heavens above us.

Astronomy Terminology

Speedy Publishing

Astronomy is a subject that covers a wide variety of topics. Although some of the terminology is basic and clear from the start, other words used in the more scientific and theoretical aspects of astronomy are often misunderstood or mixed up. This is why it is vital to own a terminology study guide when learning about astronomy. A subject-specific study guide can help students and those just learning out of personal interest to understand the concepts and can clarify what specific words means. With a study guide as a reference, it is easy to just look up the meaning of a word whenever necessary so no time is wasted and confusion can be avoided.

Physics Terminology

Speedy Publishing

For many, physics is a difficult subject to master. This is not necessarily because the math or theories are impossible to understand, but often the terminology used in the learning materials is not understood. Having a study guide dedicated to physics terminology on hand is essential to learning physics, because it will make it easy to look up definitions of terms so there is no mistaking what is meant. Once the terminology is clearly defined, it will be much easier to grasp what the various laws, theories and formulas all mean and what factors are needed to be able to solve physics problems.

Physics Terminology

Speedy Publishing

Physics is a difficult class for many students, as there are many complex terms and formulas that students have to understand and use appropriately. Physics textbooks are also lengthy and heavy, with the formulas and definitions not conveniently located. Because of these constraints, a physics textbook is not useful for studying terms and formulas. A physics terminology study guide is a better resource. A study guide provides students with all of the physics formulas and definitions they need in one place. The definitions are often also simplified, so students can understand the terms in plain English. Many terminology study guides can also be put in a binder, so students can use them as a quick reference when in class or on the go.

The Star Book - Stargazing throughout the seasons in the Southern Hemisphere

Peter Grego

Stargazing Throughout the Seasons in the Southern Hemisphere is an excerpt from The Star Book that guides you through the night skies in the Southern Hemisphere, through wide-angle star charts. Looking at the main constellations, stars and celestial showpieces of the southern celestial sphere, beginning with constellations around the south celestial pole and then taking a season by season view. Far southern stars had to wait until the early 17th century to be mapped by European explorers.Everyone is interested in the stars and on a clear night astonished by them. Stargazing Throughout the Seasons in the Southern Hemisphere will answer any questions you may have when you look up into the night sky.
